As received (without any bending or or other modification), this cage was a perfect fit for my favorite 20 oz. Kleen Kanteen insulated bottle and holds it very securely on my RANS recumbent bike without any rattling at all. The cage is constructed of solid stainless steel (same grade as industrial wire shelving) and has a warm, shiny silver finish. A lifetime replacement warranty is provided, so if it ever breaks, the company will replace it for free. Considering that every previous cage I’ve owned in this style from other manufacturers has eventually cracked at the rear 90 degree bend, I’m eager to see how well this one holds up. The solid steel (as opposed to the solid or hollow aluminum tubing of typical cages) seems very durable. The only quirk about this cage is the odd packaging – as of this review, the manufacturer was simply placing it in a large, plastic takeout container with product sticker on the top and the cage and warranty tossed loosely inside. This wouldn’t look so great in a retail shop, but for an online purchase, who cares… at least it’s fully recyclable.
